London? What to do with our luggage..

Hi guys, we are arriving in London on a Wednesday morning at 5.00am... The people we are staying with are not going to be able to be home from work until 5.pm that night, we will have or luggage with us, so what would you recommend we do for a whole day after arriving off a 12 hour flight??

If it is sunny we have planned to walk around Hyde Park and sit down, but what if it is raining??

Or, does anyone know of anywhere we could store our bags in lockers, like at a train station... and would that be safe??

Hey dude, there is a left luggage place in terminal 4 I think, costs roughly 15 pound for 12 hours. Prices might be a bit more now as this was in 2006. Very handy if you've got time to kill though.

Oh and this is Heathrow although Luton or Gatwick probably have something similar.

Take the Heathrow Connect into Paddington. (Not the Express – Connect is less than half the price and only 10 minutes more, leaving from the same platform. Buy tickets before boarding).

There is a Left Luggage place next to Platform 12 in the corner where the Connect train pulls in.

Paddington is very close to the parks and you can walk from there, or catch the Underground to elsewhere in the city. Suggestions if its raining include Bitish Museum, Tate, oh, any of the museums really.

Are you bringing in a stash of blow or something?!

It’s as secure as any rail left luggage place! It's not a locker system - there is an attendant you hand your bag to and they x-ray it, etc.
