Used to be quite busy in here a while back but maybe all the event spam killed off any interesting music discussion.

A few years ago it was one of the busiest genre forums on the board!

Since then a few competitor forum websites that specialise in dnb have risen and have taken the discussion away from here tbh.

Would it help if promoters were advised to post their ads elsewhere and the advertising and spam cut down on?

I barely ever use this forum due to the dnb sites previously mentioned, wanna buy some records?

Hahaha.. Dude, if the promoters didn't post in here, no one would. So I don't think you want to completely kill the forum off

Actually S-Driver, the problem is creating itself. If promoters are the only ones that post here, no regular posters bother to look because they know it's all ads. If the ads and spam are cut down, people know when they see recent posts in this forum that it is actually discussion, not somebody trying to cajole them into something

We have recently seen some success with this is the House forum too.

So do people think that will help or is it too little too late given the likes of bassdrop etc?

seriously, bassdrop and others really have it covered. it would be a hard ask to pull people back in here, imo.
