Lovely place.
The Elbow has basicly been the Funk Factory `head office' since the begining, and due to the super friendly owners & staff, along with good music and vibe, we will continue to support the lads.

Loft is deffinately intimate, and is shaping up to be a grooving little joint. Nice tunes with various tallent behind the decks (most of whom play/ have played velvet) - Check out MatA for some chunky originality (kicked arse last velvet!), also check a new tallent `Camile', nice sound and fun on the decks. There is definately a unique flavour to the Elbow/LOFT music policy, and that is reflected in the large part by the people that patronise it, especially later.
Cool, relaxing decor, kind of homely feel to it - friendly efficient staff & wicked funky beats - the place definately moves for its size!

But I'm biased, and would say that eh?

check it out.

NOTE: entrance is on high st with a small sign saying "the lounge" above the door, around from Durham lane & next to a mountainering shop - the Lounge is nothing to do with LOFT, its a R&B hip/hop place - don't let that or their security outside put you off - go strait down the ally & up the stairs.
ps. Fri & Sat, LOFT will have their own security on the door if you're unsure.

PEACE

The Loft is cool very cosy, nice staff, its a lot
more personal.

You should check out INK BAR on K'Road

Elbow Room/Loft are quickly becoming my midtown favourites. Its the nice people and tunes and atmosphere.
[quote]
Yeah, Elbow/Loft and INK are both personal and Funk factory Favorites, basicaly offering a chilled environment, up to the minute tunes, wicked staff etc. HIGHLY recommend both, especially if you are of the more decerning type. If you are at Elbow/loft at any stage, ask if I'm about & say "Hi"
[quote]
So we ask for "Ferksta"? Ha ha ha ha. Sorry dude, but unless your friends actually call you that we're gonna have a bit of trouble locating you! Don't want a repeat performance of asking for "Graphite" at Sponge bar!
[quote]
My friends have been calling me Ferksta for 15 years, they will know exactly who I am.
[quote]
Sounds like a bit of me then!!
If Funk Factory endorses it, it gotta be all good!!

Visited the Loft in the early hours of Sat morning and was well impressed. No hass with the security for the lounge, just breezed on by and cruised up to the Loft. Was greeted by some funky tunes and friendly staff and patrons.

Word of caution, don't go jumpin about too close to the decks, the floors a bit springy and causes them to jump

Bungeyebro, you must've bin wearing your shirt then huh??

My Shirt of human hair, MUHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

My new punk rock song is,

"BANNED! From the WBC"
"BANNED! From the WBC"
"BANNED! From the WBC"
"BANNED! From the WBC"
"Da nana nana!"
[quote]
did you get banned from WBC?
why?
Ive never been there but from what Ive heard they should call it "Wanker Boys Club"
[quote]
I banned myself as Im sick of not knowing whether that &^$*&%^*#$*%& bouncer will let me in or not. Waste of time as far as Im concerned.
