What a weekend! What did you think of LIVE EARTH Greenie? - I was well impressed with the event. Foo Fighters were the pick for me.

I got your message, not till after the event.

Then a superb performance by Metallica on Sunday night which blew the roof off.

I missed out on Masterdon Stuee, they must have opened the event. Machine Head were there in full force!

I would definitely go again. I had an excellent time.

But the sound was pants, especially earlier in the day. That aluminium roof makes for singing in a watering can but there were some real issues with the rig - I did note they didn’t have much of a distributed system, it was all a bit done on the cheap. I bet it was almost unnoticeable and awesome closer up the front (it looked it) but if you are like me and take short-ass chicks to concerts who demand to stand near the back at the top of the slope to see anything, not so good.

But Metallica were awesome, glad you had a great time on Sunday. Foo Fighters were the same (they were just behind Metallica for me), Chillis, Duran Duran…etc.

We ended up back at my place and spun some choons and all until 6am. It’s so good to live close to a venue for once!

No one really took the message that seriously from what I could tell. When Madonna’s carbon footprint is about 100 times that of the average person in Britain, it’s all a little hard to take in eh.
