Hope all had a great time at papa trio last night, it was fantastic!!!

It was fascinating watching them play straight off the laptop... no beatmixing tho, so I think some people found that bit a tad strange. All good tho!

Yeh it was cool, but they did have some trouble mixing.

Average beats, average mixing, then Foz showed them how it was done to finish!

yea i thought they pretty much sucked,
well i spose their beats were just nothing like what the liqy crew are used too,funny seeing the place pack out when foz came back on for the last hour!

They weren't mixing. They didnt intend to. They just play one track after the other. Dont think of them as beetmixing djs, coz they leave that to the djs. If people expected them to mix i guess they wouldhave been a little dissipointed, but its not what they were there to do I guess.
Surprised their little box of tricks didnt include a smooth beatmix package ? Sexy tunes though.
I saw a couple of records cued up there, but never saw them play one ?!

however Soane and Dick have only ever played on thursdays and fridays there in the past as with most decent gigs.

hey there peeps, as someone involved with papa gig, just got a couple of things to correct-yep martin coll a producer/ musician etc, these were mostly brand new tracks being played out, completed with red bull studios & greg churchill on the friday 13 so yeah....slight tech probs in beginning due to set up etc....the tracks were also segued live with an effects unit so in a very small / dark/ unfamiliar dj box there can be problems however a whole new set was then constructed for the nelson gig which ensured this didn't happen again...that live electronica for you...but I would laso like to say hamilton crowds seem to be some of the best in the country...

I would like to do a big thumbs up to Soane and Dick for the fantastic music they put on it rocked , but a huge thumbs down to the guys at liquid lounge for ruining what should have been a good dance party by allowing far to many people in, so much for limited door sales!!!!!! Just been talking to some friends that said they had around 150 people in there by the end of the night. No wonder I could not move, I payed good money to dance but couldnt, Hope you guys sort it out for the next party!!! Wish I had gone to Overdrive, sounds like it went off.
