I'm going to neither, gonna work and earn
money instead, then day party all NY day, but
given the choice it'd be Lightspeed. I know
they've changed venues, but after the last slinky
and the utter chaos that was the organisation of
the event, I'd say that OGA hasn't yet earned
back any respect.

Plus there's a far better range of music and DJ's
at Lightspeed. Jon Davis ain't getting any of my
Xmas bonus money after the nightmare of
Slinky @ Alexandra.

Going to Slinky. Love to go to Lightspeed as well but would only go if given a ticket...

SLINKY @ the town hall.this is the only \real dfance party venue in town.Might get 3000 into the saint james but only 1000 into the main room.

It will be interesting to do a comparison of both events. Maybe sometime on new years day I'll post a twisted report on Slinky and Lightspeed.

i to, do not support a dance event put on by OGA, but... anything at the town hall will be excellent!! they set the rules not the promoters, they say how many tickets are available not the promoters... the venue rocks guys and the nite will too

I know for a fact that there will be no overcrowding for Slinky, the Town Hall ppl are looking after the ticket sales and have only put out a certain number that will ensure no overcrowding.

Hmm. No ceiling dripping might be a bit hopeful twinkle. When they say "Strictly limited numbers for your comfort" I have the rather cynical belief that means 2500 rather than 3000.

The regent is the small one off to right as you come into the St James isn't it? If so - thats just too small!

The regent is through the small chillout room to the right as you come in. Don't get it confused with that little foyer, its on the other side - another old cinema.

It will definately be a Lightspeed NY's for me. Town Hall doesn't have much in the way of air con, etc..... Sick of going to over-heated events. At least with Lightspeed there is the option of going outside.
