when he runs the London Marathon this sunday!

Our beloved Greenie will be running in this prestigious event.

For anyone who is keen for a mission into central london around 1ish put your name here and we can arrange a meet up near the finish line to give Greenie our support and congratulations when he finishes his first marathon.


I have information that he will be in a red vest bearing the words hearrunners and the number 34819.

He was the man of the day, man o man, with a big wave and smile for me, pony and pony's b/f as he ran on by... GO MR GREEN!

How many other people do you know who have done the London marathon?

what time did he end up finishing?? i was waiting for my automatic text updates, but the only other one i got, apart from my sign up one, was a "we're sorry our text updates were shit and didnt work" text at about 5pm!

If you go to www.london-marathon.co.uk and type in my race number 34819 you'll find I ran a hot-footed 4 hours, 38 minutes and 28 seconds which is 8 minutes slower than my target time, but still a snappy 5.75 miles an hour average speed and came 20,427 out of 34,000 odd runners.

Not exactly warp nine wesley crusher but I did manage to run down a number of runners who I lost due to cramps at the 14 mile mark in the last few miles of the race, and I also overtook a womble in the final turn.

Today I am broken. But today I am a guy who ran the London marathon. Thanks to everyone who came down; you were very much needed at the 25 mile mark and a great inspiration to get to close to my target time so I could see you!

Oh and that was all with just 11 weeks training, which makes me wonder what other stupid things I could do if I kept up my training.

We were so proud of you Greenie when we saw you rounding the corner with your nz flag bandana.


I'm seriously considering doing next years one.
