Len Faki - Berghain 03

Dettmann's Berghain mix last year was a favourite of mine (even though I know it wasn't everyone's cup of tea), so I'm well excited about this one.

Used to love his stuff on Figure - especially the one with the Salmonella Dub sample.

Looks pretty techno, will check..

I've given it one run through but think I need to listen to it during a storm/when I'm feeling a little darker.

The world is yours into lowdown brittle is pretty bloody cool though!

My favourite of his productions is probably still the Radio Slave remix of 'my black sheep' I thought my brain was exploding the first time I heard that one.

Not so sure about having 'timbuktu' at the end of the mix, to me it has always sounded like a track that is building up to something, not finishing it..

Bit of an argument over at RA about this one.

For the record I agree with the review, not so sure about the last half of this mix. I like all the tracks but dunno if timbuktu, fly life and the man with the red face, (all classics individually) really sit well together in that final section.

BX3 is really really good, uses a couple of the same samples from My Black Sheep.

It reminds me a lot of Joris Voorn - MPX309, very bass heavy, but it's a much longer track so you really get into it.......
