Kraftwork + Luke Slater

At the BDO next year, are Kraftwork + Luke Slater...

what are kraftwork into these days? are they still at it.

i remember seeing luke at a lightspeed thing years ago, hope he's got his act together these days, he was real crap back then.
i saw him on a music vid also a while back. does anyone know what that was about?

I caught Mr Slater at the Gatecrasher Summer Soundsystem in Melbourne last year and he was on fire. Lots of interaction with the crowd, great pumpin tunes and loads of fun.
Hope he's that good this time round

yeah he could well be worth checking out. i hope that he plays else where around that time, don't realy fancy the BDO mission. last 2 years the dance tent was just to packed and a bit moshy...

The Lightspeed event was bad because of the fact that some fuckwit across the valley called noise controll on the gig, so the sound was fractionally louder than a home hi fi. He _can_ be amazing, for a skinny white guy can cut it like Claude, and can keep it hard without loosing the funk. Always pushing for something a little different.
His first BDO live set was mad, I think all technocats will appreciate this: he spent the first 20 mins doing loads of feedback to clear the tent of the ravekids and the commercial dance crowd before he bust into the main set! Very nice

Only now after a few years and some listening to his stuff do I understand, and will be checking him this time. His last cd was crap though, I thought.

Kraftwork will be very interesting... They oughta get Senor Coconut to come and do his latin style cover versions though

they released "expo 2000" remixes awhile a go. remixed by orbital and stuff (cant remember the others) the kling klang mixes where best (I assume these where actual kraftwerk ones) kling klang 2002 was way funky, and 2001 any drums !!!

Klink Klang is Kraftwerk's legendary studio...
Senor Coconut will probably know the guys personally, being one of the most pioneering electronic musicians in the last few years.
Rolando and the UR crew did some rmxs, tho yeah, nothing too special compared to their useual output, then again. thry would have been having a hard time with all the drool shortcircuiting thier keyboards.
More tehcno bufoonery (sp?) - that crazy electroboy Anthony Rother was suposed to be flatting next to one of the Kraftwerk guys for a while, and even was on the flip remixing a single of his last year, really nice. There is new school in KW, just gotta search for it
