KID KENOBI TO PLAY IN NZ

He's playing one show only at Fu on Friday, June 14th with support from local heavyweights Snitch, Timmy Schumacher and Page 3. (All three have handsome little pot bellies...)

Last year he was voted the peoples choice, NSW State DJ of the year - as well as Australian DJ of the year. (The NSW breaks scene is said to be the biggest and best breaks scene in the world according to many top UK breaks djs).

During his career Kenobi has supported the likes of Plump DJs, Krafty Kutz, Tayo, Freq Nasty, Adam Freedland, Rennie Pilgrim, Stanton Warriors, Fat Boy Slim, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Armand Van Helden, Groove Armada, Freestylers, Jammin Unit, Dave Clarke and more, and he's going to be the star attraction himself come June 14th...

Tix are $25 and due to the interest already building I'd suggest getting in early.

Hey, so if that geezer has supported all those djs that means they all played oz, right. So why the fuck haven't most of them played here?

Well, if you note that Sydney has the biggest breaks scene in the world, and that ours is erm... just a wee bit smaller, you may conclude that we just haven't had the audience to warrant bringing top breaks djs over.
All that is in the process of change however. If events like Breakers Delight and the Kid Kenobi gig continue to be successful, you can bet your playstation 2 there's going to be more top breaks djs playing here before the end of the year.

Yeah he's off on a european tour shortly where he'll be playing at Fabric and the like... turning into quite the superstar he is... he's also mixing 'clubber's guide to breaks 2' for MOS which should be available around November...
