Kasey Taylor at G2..

recently my music taste has gone alot more progressive, I cant get enough of it. went to G2 and have to say Kasey Taylor was my favourite, his overall progression and deep driving sound amazed me! thoughts? can you guys recommend anyone else to have a listen to?

sasha's ones are good, sander k's nu breed is good, digweeds/tenaglias are good for some darker stuff.
They are all good in their own right, and everyone has their seperate opinion on them
danny howells nocturnal frequencies are cool too
If you have a fast connection, try and get hold of a few essential mixes / kiss fm mixes, the essentials are usually prog djs (not always) and the kiss mixes are always tops

the new fabric album is wicked. progressive breaks.

Some progressive can get a bit to deep for me I like tracks with a real fat funky tribal beat and some spacey uplifting elements?? any other recommendations

you couldn't go wrong with either sasha or sander k. Sasha really is the master of the spacey bits
James Holden keeps it reasonably trancey on Fear of a Silver Planet but it can be a bit hard to track down.

Go for lawler / tenaglia for some filthy tribal business. Won't appeal to all though.

both are probably quite a nice entry to Prog without goin too deep.

Or you could go for Kasey's own new mix - Balance 002 I think it's called. Double disc, deep driving and chuggy in his own unique kinda style. Don't have a tracklisting but I'm sure if you liked his live set you'll enjoy it

Wicked! I like James Holden stuff, especially One for you. What new stuff has Sasha done worth listening to?

sasha in general likes to keep his work to an absolute minimum... , whilst still getting paid more than the average dj would earn in their whole career...
If you like the sound, get hold of charlie may's bug ep on junior, he is sasha's engineer and those tracks are amazing if you ask me. James Holden has a new one called solstice coming out too. I think the most recent sasha mix is from okyo.dk where he played live although I'm sure there's something more recent. It's not the best quality but still good for a listen at work.
Looking at the tracklisting for balance 002 tho it looks like a good listen...

- I read in an interview that he is doing *some* of it...in collaboration with a few other prog wunderkids...think it was in DJ magazine or something

interesting, i heard from somewhere too not dj mag that he was doing most if not all of it him self.
After all it is his album !! am pretty sure charlie isn't doing anything with !!
could be wrong, i ain'y god but am pretty sure my source would know...

sasha is doing it all himself? Could be true but I really doubt it...I read in (yet another!) interview with The Light that he didn't really know his way round a studio too well...and with a reputation like his, you wouldn't want to churn out a piece of tripe!
