joiing separate tracks into one mp3 file

I need one that can join the tracks together in one but still has the effect of a mixed album, so no gaps and cuts during each track, I can't seem to find a program for it, can anyone help please?

You can do it with Goldwave easily.

Does goldwave keep the tracks (minus the gaps)?

If not you can divide them up again using CDWave.

So you want one file but still be able to seek to each track?

I don't think it'll do that, you need to have a cue file for that to happen eh. It'll just join the tracks together.. no gaps.

yeah I think that's all CDwave does is generate a cue file, but it makes the process easier with a UI.

If you join the files together in something like Goldwave you can set cue points where the joins are to be able to re-export as individual files, or just create a cue file to use in your burning software (which is easy to put together in notepad or whatever).

Just a note,, in the process of creating an MP3 a tiny amount of time is inserted at the beginning of each track. So, in most cases, re-joining a mixed comp which was saved as individual MP3 files will still result in a small gap... how big that gap is depends on a pile of things like how the file was created and what options your burner has.

If you really want it to play right you may need to copy-paste the parts into a program like Wavelab/soundforge and remove those tiny gaps and then resave the whole thing as a single file.
