Let's see though. Those times are like most other pre-season tests.. they mean nothing.
People were testing old aero on new chassis, partly new aero, random set-ups, light fuel runs, tire feedback runs, suspension geometry runs for the tires, next yeas tires (slicks

) and more.. all without engine braking or traction control.
(See Hamilton got ditched in the gravel twice for losing it under braking).. Like more of the younger guys, he's never known a time in a full-size open-wheel car without t/c or engine braking. Maybe Coulthard, Baricello, Fisi, Alonso will have a few extra chances early season because of this.
