I've just had a think...(no, it didnt hurt)

and realised in the last 9 months I have seen...

1. Maybe 1 fly
2. 2 or 3 spiders
3. No cockroaches
4. A couple of bee's


Actually...almost no bugs at all!

The UK seems to be bug free!!!

Yeah it's true!

But then again, I've seen shitloads of rats that were as big as cats when I was staying in Marble Arch!

NO I'm afraid its not true. The ants are coming out in force in our flat. But they're not behaving like NZ ants and marching in single file lines so you can find where they came in... They're just wandering about all over the place... Summer is coming... bugs will come too...

I think I saw about 10 ants...maximum...last summer.

Maybe I just live in a bug free zone.

Fark. I'm lucky if I leave the house without seeing a bug. Flyscreens on all windows and doors territory.

Saw the third cockroach inside since moving here. (clean flat styles.)

But they're fucking everywhere, and bugs. and spiders. And loads of lizards in summer too. Haven't seen a snake yet, but a couple of huntsman.

I JUST SAW A BIG BARSTARD COCKROACH ON MY BALCONY.
Fucker was on the outdoor table when I went out for a ciggie. I now have 1/6 of a can less mortein. He has a couple of buddies on the balcony hiding in the corners.

Dead lil fuckers now. Hopefully.

EEeeeew... we found this GIANT orange and black striped beetle dead on our terrace the other day. And the flies in Oz! They crawl all over your face...

Japan, well Tokyo anyway, has like no flies, bees or ants. I swear you could leave some food out for a week and nothing would eat it

BUT in summer they do have the big fuck off cockroaches

Yeah, loads of bats. Buzzy. Specially when its in a bar or on a mates veranda, whether it be in the city, or out in manly, you'll be chilling at any time of the night and spot a shadow flying. Fucking BATS! Can see them over the big spotlights on top of the skyscrapers, cirlcing for the insects that attracted to the lights. Some of them will get real close too. Love it every time. Reminds me of where I am.

Possums too, Seen a couple out in the Burbs, even round my place. Real close to humans.
