It's Auckland vs Waikato - NPC final

Final to be played in Hamilton... Waikato will have the the home advantage, but I think Auckland are playing well enough to win it, despite Waikato having only having lost one game this year. Auckland has a good team and they'll continue to develop into a better team in years to come. I think Graham Henry has added the extra impetus to get Auckland through to the finals.

I pick Auckland by about 10. They played the best game I've seen from an auckland team in years against canterbury. They seem to be back to bnear their best, which is great for NZ rugby. Their defence was outstanding and Waikato will struggle to score against them, ven with randall and reihana. Expect auckland to be the top province in NZ in a few years time. If that happens the AB's will be the top team in the world as well.

???? Thats Bullshit Fency, I cant believe they dropped Reuben Thorn, that decision lacks any logic, it goes to show how incompetant those are in charge of new zealand rugby selection processes.

I know there is no excuse for CAnterbury loosing, I agree they were out played, however it seems that the memebers of the team were tired and overplayed and needed more rest. Yes Auckland played well, but to drop Reuben thorn like that is complete crap.

Reuben is injured actually, hence he won't be selected at all. But Taine Randell will have a chance to reclaim the captaincy for the world cup next year if this UK tour goes well.

Graham Henrys influence is clear in the way Auckland play. Fantastic defence, technically very good. Hopefully he will get back to the top level of coaching in NZ asap.
