It's about time NZ had emissions testing with WOFs

0800 SMOKEY was crap.

There seems to be more vehicles on the road with excessive smoke or stinky exhausts than ever before. I must sit behind a car that gases out mine at least 2-3 times every day

Time to clean things up!!

They have passed a law relating to a new emmissions testing regime with your WOF I am pretty sure.

Will obviously have a lead-in time of a few years as both vehicle owners and testing stations get up to speed.

I am not 100% on this but thought I had seen it sometime last year.

a reliable source told me that this will come into effect in the next year or so, but it will also drive the price of WOFs up by about $5. He also said that is pretty pointless testing MODERN cars as their emissions are computer controlled....

Try telling that to the management system of a Pajero!
