yip, all ages scene still defientily does exist. Even though there hasnt been a gig in a while. The brain is going to send everyone throught the roof :o)

All the young and old people we gave flyers to where very happy to hear that the brain was here again!

i gave this one girl a flyer and she goes "whats this?" and i go its the brain a really wicked dance party. she goes "a dance party" in an excited voice "cool" she says.. and skips off down the road with her friend.

yep we are heading to westlake boys, carmal, and.. some other shore schools.. :o) this will be next week.
[quote]
Yep. samhill, just give me boxes and paris and i will mish through most of the shore schools Smile (cause that's really conveinient for us)

hmmm maybe it's time to advertise biggie amoungst the youth... there dont seem to be many sub 20ers Sad

[quote]
dude, it depends where you are. there is basically no underage scene in wellington. it honestly bites
[quote]
i didnt go to aotea square today.. i have no idea why? =\ , ,, the we might go there tomorrow? are we gyus we are becuse amp ois djing. yes/. okay. underage scnene still is here.
[quote]
i went there today.....checked if u dudes were handing out flyers.....but u werne't Sad

anyway i went to bpm and they didn't have all that many brain flyers jst a hand full of em on the bench.
[quote]
there was never one in welly ..except for the add dance party .. there was zeal but that went down quickly too!!!!!
hmm
[quote]
yeah, i took the last all age ones golfpunk tho there were lots of r18 ones there still i think
[quote]
eh that's alright
aslong as u distribute them to the all girls schools lol
hehe
[quote]
yeah i think the flyers r good....lots of ppl actualy dont go 2 raves cuz they dont know abt it....its all about publicity.

in sydney an u18s dance party would have at least 500 ppl minimum or they wouldnt bother putting one on. so ticket prices r pretty cheap (about $15-20) if u look at whats inside.... eg Home has a huge main room and separate house, happy hardcore and dnb rooms, MASSIVE sound system, insane lighting, chillout balcony, free water and cordial, windows all around for a view over the harbour....... its fucking gorgeous.

so how 2 get ppl?
*home has a reputation... thats y ppl come. need 2 stick 2 a venue, do it up nicely and biuld a reputation for having a wicked time
*in a lot of the better clubs fri and sat nites r strictly r18 (thats where the $ is) but thursdays and school hol weekdays they have a lot of u18 raves when the club would otherwise b empty (also lots of $). so maybe hire out kiss/bed/st james?
*i know this guy adrian hes pretty cool and friendly and hes paid 2 go around and talk up the clubs around sydney and 2 get all the "right" ppl 2 come. if they come and they like it, everyone follows. its very effective.
*u also have 2 make more girls show up first, the guys will definitley follow. no one likes a dance party with a bunch of hormonal guys standing around acting tough.

so yeah just some suggestions.....ok i havent really thought them out properly il try think of more ideas lata

and remember kiddies..... and u18s dance party will never b quite as good as an r18 one. the idea of all ages was a substitute 4 proper clubbing so lets b happy that its actually pretty good anyway and have fun. just a few more years 2 go....

ok enuf from me

hope 2 c u all @ the brain Smile its gonna be mad

luv*amy*

disagree about your u18's dance party never being as good as an R18 one. I've been to all the God's Kitchens, Gatecrashers, Slinky's blah blah blah and they haven't come close to the u18 Brain's at the Powerstation. The atmosphere, the vibe, the music. Everyone having fun, love all around. R18 parties have too many random elements, lots of attitude and peoples inhibitions stop them from really having fun, worried about what 'they' might think. Hence the requirement of drugs to loosen people up.

the idea of all ages events has never been a 'substitute' for r18 clubbing? Raves were always 'allages' with people from all ages attending(remember the Mrs Woods lookalike who used to frequent Platinum? Shes about 50 odd!). They were never created to substitute 'proper clubbing'??

Good suggestions though, the direct marketing guy to 'talk up' clubs is a popular one overseas but then they don't have Biggie do they?!
[quote]
the only diff between the all ages and r18 is that in the all ages. half the people there are there purely to hook up and dn't know shit bout music or things that go with it. oh and the dancing in the circles with ya mates. that's a popular all ages thing to do. and not as many people bouncing round.... feel abit odd if u start munt bouncing at an all ages event cause hardly anyone knows how to go nutz on the floor.
[quote]
hehe yeah.... feels a bit like 4th form school social :S
[quote]
Haha I know what your talking about golfpunk I've seen it at underage events, haven't been to an all ages gig yet...
[quote]
it just sucks being underage and into the music, the only real way i get into it is wonderland and my deejaying
[quote]
and big day out of course !!!
[quote]
Grrr too much money for me to get to big day out let alone buy a ticketSad
Yea it does suck being underage and into the scene guess it gives us an advantage when we are older though!
[quote]
it kinda saves it i guess... maybe if we started now we'd be bored by we were 20

In christchurch.

There is no such thing.

We have the occational thing on down at the underground.
But theyre pretty tame.

I HATE not being 18
