we seem to have a problem working out this mans genre lets put it to the test.

dave the drummer Techno or something else(god knows what else)

Why is it a problem?

The stuff I've heard of his is definitely most suited to discussion on this, rather than other biggie forums, thats about as far as I will go to classifying it., Bored of silly sub genre distinctions.

dave the drummer is certainly techno, but he dosnt limit himself to making techno,

he works with chris lib (halo) on eurkatech and thats mroe of a housey sound, and has releases with arron lib on lowrent and thats realy tec-house, hes really intrested in hiphop and i belive hes starting to write that aswell, and of course his own label, hydraluix, and the amazing tunes hes released on stay up forever, and cluster!!!

for tunes check out audiogalaxy do a search for him and youll get loads a shit,

for acid techno in new zealand check out a club called orange on thursday nights in napier, a friend of mine djs there and plays loads a shit like dave,

im not shure the name of the night but its fuckin avin it....

As to why I think defintely techno, it sounded like it to me-not Detroit I guess but too minimal for HArd House, not enough 303 for acid tekno either (which is what I went hoping to hear)
I was listening to Missile records comp this morning and thought it sounded a lot like that.
I call that techno.
