Has anyone used the Belkin Digital Camera Link with an iPod?

I'm heading overseas in a few months and the idea of having a 20 or even 40Gb hard drive for images from my digital camera is really attractive! means i could get away with a relatively small SD card and keep transferring all my images to iPod.

Even if I use 10Gb for songs (which to be honest seems like one hell of a lot!) I would still have 10Gb harddrive left for photos which is a hell of a lot! Very Happy

Any better ideas of how to do this? Is there a camera that can do direct dump onto the iPod? I dont have either the camera or the iPod yet so ideas wanted!

When i went oveeras with 2x 128mb cf cards, a usb card reader and a 30 gig drive, it worked for me, i ended up taking 1500 shots @ ~800kb

While I am not completely up to date with the iPod technology, what are the odds of a digital camera manufacturer coming up with a direct dump to iPod feature in the next few months?
Apple has put this photo storage feature on there, surely camera manufacturers should take advantage of it? Or should I stop trying to have everything and just buy the Belkin Digital Link thingy as a great idea!
