Internet explorer not letting me view webpages

Downloaded an update for windows vista the other night. Ever since I did that, internet explorer (at home) keeps coming up with 'cannot find webpage' whenever I try to view a site. I click on 'diagnose this problem' or whatever and it says everything is fine. MSN connects to the internet fine, it just seems to be my browser...

Any thoughts?

Unlikely.

MSN & IE use a common TCP/IP stack, so if works in one it should work in the other. You can further test this theory by typing a web address into windows explorer and seeing if it comes up.

As for a solution, slap yourself for using IE like a luddite and download firefox. Double slap for clicking 'diagnose this problem' and thinking that it would actually fix the issue, or even be remotely helpful.

i uninstalled the latest security update for internet explorer and it works fine now. am going to download firefox...
