One of the UK?s most innovative and pioneering figures, breaks DJ Paul Arnold has blazed a trail through dance music since its very foundation. As founder and mastermind behind one of the world?s most cutting edge labels, Certificate 18, Paul?s dedication to quality and eye for the future needs little dressing up with words ? the credentials speak for themselves.

As a promoter and DJ, Paul has enjoyed great success and shown how his finger has always been tight on the pulse of the music scene. Before relocating to London, Paul had already booked and played alongside the likes of Derrick May, Plaid, Fabio and Grooverider and James Lavelle. After hitting the Big Smoke, he established its first dedicated breakbeat night, Breaking Point, and to this day runs the longest running breakbeat night in the world ? Chew The Fat ? Brixton?s infamous weekly. Last September Chew The Fat found a second home at London?s finest club, The End, taking over the lounge while Steve Lawler played in the main room. Fat now holds a monthly residency at The End ? which are packed to the rafters each and every time.

Spawned from the reputation of the club night, the label ? Fat Records ? has been an instant success that has had breaks-heads salivating. Every track so far has been a hit with DJs and fans and caned all over the place, with a fresh mix of new talent ? Peacemaker, DJ Friendly, Daddy and Apollo Kids - and established names like Polar and Lee Coombs.

Paul as a DJ is rinses out an eclectic set of breaks, house, drum ?n? bass, and techno, smattered with broken beats and rare gems, seamlessly segued and with an eye for the crowd that comes from holding down a highly successful weekly residency for over four years on the trot. Ask anyone about Paul?s ability to rock a crowd ? from Brixton to Brisbane and Barcelona, on his numerous prestigious gigs at London?s Home club, Space in Ibiza, The End, all over Australia and Malaysia ? you?ll get one answer: he rocks it.
