a baller or shot caller is someone who's makin money, doin somethin to "get themselves out of the ghetto". although it's usually something negativ' like pimpin or pushin drugs or sumpin along those lines.

i don't think rappers/mc's use those words to try and sound cool. in the music they listen to, that's how people speak, and they prolly speak that way too.

sure, they sound like dickheads but it ain't really their fault
