but i think that all ages RAVES should have a dress code because OMG!!! at burn they pulled with bullshit circle for breakdancing?!?!?!?!?!?!

i mean what thre fuck??? and big homies just turn up and stand there in the way of people that want to be bouncy!!!! and they start fights and get drunk and piss me right off!!!!!!!!!!

I might be wrong ... but i thought dress codes were always enforced so bouncers can keep those out that look like they're too pissed or might be trouble later on (ie: people who will start fights and stuff) ... and so they say "no you can't come in with those shoes / that hat / you're too casual" etc etc

Thats what I always assumed was the reason for dress codes and if I'm right I think that they're great!

Dress codes r definatly good.....the other day i saw sum guys trying 2 look hard wif big soccer tshirts, trackpants and big fake gold chain necklaces and jewellery.... wtf?! this is an all ages RAVE, not the pimp/gangster wannabe convention..... dress codes dont have 2 b strict, just keep ppl who dont belong out.

Ive been in one of those situations, what u do is when the breakdancer stops is u just jump into the middle of the cicle and start hardout rave dancing and it kills it and the cicrle disappears... works if ur a chik neway!

Lets view this a little more logically. the turnout is poor as it is. enforce a dress code and it will halve the turnout.not everyone has $$$ to buy mint raver clothes, and a new outfit each weekend, at that. its that simple.

its expensive, so ppl who wont spend $$$ on decent clothes wouldnt spend $$$ on a rave either. we suffer the price, but at least there wont b any breakdancers! also, the "dedicated" ravers would go no matter how much, even on a tuesday.

see these kinds of people scare of other people....and when some place has a bad rep alot of people wont go.....but if i went and had a good time with out these people i would for sure tell alot more people to come.

I don't agree with the dress code thing, people should be able to wear whatever they feel like within reason.

if there are fights etc around the place, then obviously the bouncers there aren't doing their job.

this needs to be brought up to the management.
You lot should be able to go out bounce around and have fun, without the worry of getting beaten up or even intimidated for what you are doing.

Yeah random it is from 2 years ago but still fully relevant aye. We have dress codes at all Nitrate events as an excuse to help the bouncers keep out dodge characters. If there is no set dress code and bouncers tell these dodgers that they can't come in then trouble is likely to start outside, which can be more of a pain in the ass than inside! Having a dress code just keeps everyone INSIDE the club happy and looking good and keeps all the riff raff outside
