started when I was 22......playing tech house...

got me decks @ 16.. got into it thru brad, andy & schmoo on radioactive housing project & coldcut solid steel

i started learning to mix in june last year (i'd just turned 21) but i don't consider myself to be a dj... yet :o)

22 cos i love music and it was another way to play, and i could afford some dex

I started learning when i was 11
played out when i was 12
Family owned various night clubs in Auckland and I hasseled the shit out of the DJs until they taught me
Also one of my relatives is a DJ (i wanted to be cool like him)

Main reasons for starting to dj were

Its cool
apparently women like DJs
I love music
I'm too lazy to do a real job

Started playin with tunes in '91-but didnt know what I was doin...wasn't till early 98 that got shown the ropes and got a real passion for it. Got a lucky break at couple sets at clubs downtown then moved ta Kroad.

Well, when I was 18 I got some decks sponsored by Technics cause I whistled one day in front of a Sony music exec. They thought I had talent.

The next day Blackhole, Silicon Recordings, ID&T, Bansai and a few other labels sent me ALL their stuff... I NEEDED A NEW HOUSE!!! So Home Depot built me one. Thanks to Lighting Direct for the cool fittings in my house and The Furniture Shop for most of the rest of the stuff...

ANYWAY, Roland sent me a cool keyboard after that and a week later I had produced a few songs. You might have heard them.. I released them on Armind.
