How about you get out your Sky Watch and look Razz

I think its like 11pm till 4am.

On that note you can now login to SkyTV.co.nz and go to the tv guide and if you have MySky press on the R button and record whatever program you select.

Well you'll no doubt thrash us, unless we can find a completely random decent batting performance from somewhere. As for winning the tourny, who knows... This one is always a bit of a lottery. Especially with dark horse teams like SL and the Pakis up in that shit.

Won't get to see any of it in Singapore.

Shame the windies are gonna be pathetic

Fuck you are dumb Neutral If you are a MY SKY or MY SKY HDi, you can now send requests to record a programme to your decoder using our online TV Guide.

When you sign up for Remote Record and provide your Smart Card number, the TV Guide on the sky.co.nz web site will show you a record button with each programme from channels to which you have subscribed.

If you click on this button WITH YOUR FUCKEN MOUSE, or on the "Record this programme" button in the programme description WITH YOUR FUCKEN MOUSE, you will be asked to confirm your request to record the programme. Once you confirm the request, a message will be sent out via satellite to your MY SKY decoder.

yeah hadnt noticed this when I posted, typcically hilariously inconsistant NZ as usual. Lose to the "Western Warriors" then what.....beat INDIA by 90 runs? hmmmmmm easy to follow the form of this side innit

Pretty sure NZ will put in at least one decent winning performance ...lets hope they save that one for South Africa, they have form doing so at least.... and Sri Lanka will be beyond us as long as they put treating their bowlers deliveries like they are grenades or summit

And we are on our way.

SA decide to field in the opening game. Steyn and Parnell looking very rusty first up but pulling it back. Great contest by arguably the best ODI sides in the world right now!

As I say that Dilshan SMASHES Parnell over cover for 4!

Sad

You watch the game *Re-Action*?

I suspect Proteas would have just been pretty rusty after not playing for so long.
[quote]
Yeah I watched it. Overall rusty for sho but can't blame that for the loss today. SL played a very good attacking game.

Smith is looking good and Kallis lost A LOT of weight was sending some balls down past the 140km/h again. Steyn looked very good as per but Parnell was shit. Guys didn't really talk to him and it was only when he got his first wicket in his 2nd to final over that he got some live into his bowling.

All up Im happy Smile SA have the ability to play a very good tournament until they really have to win then they have a shit game. I predict they got that game out of the way first up.

We will win this.

Music
[quote]
Claiming you're gonna win after getting dusted up by over 100 runs? Fucken lol bro.

SL have an awesome one-day game man. Such crazy variation in the bowling I can't see how anyone but the classiest of batsmen can hope to score big runs against them at the moment. And I'm really only talking about probably 2 players in each team. Ponting & Clarke, Kallis & Smith, Tendulkar & Dhoni etc...

Then they have aggression, finesse and class in their batting lineup too. They've gotta be nearly odds on to win the tourny IMO.

Not going to happen like I told you Smile and I have already said we had a bad game. However unlike NZ this is not a common thing for SA to have Smile so when we do have a bad one you can expect a few good ones to follow.

And supporting my team with some arrogance is all good. You just jealous cause you don't have a team you can be arrogant about.

Stats and trivia

New Zealand have lost 13 and won only two of the 17 ODIs they have played against South Africa in South Africa. The two victories were in the 2003 World Cup and during the 2007 tour.
Bond has taken 23 wickets at an average of 22.43 in 13 matches in South Africa. Against them, however, Bond's average for his 16 wickets goes up to nearly 32. Vettori also averages an expensive 45.54 for his 11 wickets in South Africa.
Among New Zealand's current batsmen, Brendon McCullum averages the highest in South Africa. He's scored 237 runs in 10 innings at an average of 26.33.

Im not gona dance on the yapies grave toooo much however tempting it is Razz They do apear to be the All Blacks of world cricket though. They will find any reason not to progress

Obviously stoked with the kiwis performance and echo what supermuff saids about Captain Dan. I would however like to see him take control and get himself in earlier more often ESPECIALLY when we are trying to pull that whole "wheels falling off" trick. So what if guys like Broom/Hopkins are specialists bats Dan is not only better than them he is miles more reliable. he needs to bat higher much more often. It was great to seehim striding in after Brooms ridiculous dismissal from a rank widfe long hop

Game vs England could be fascinating as hopefully we can win the toss and field 1st, as I understand it (scource: Radio Sport) that will mean that we a target to win the game and a target to lose but still get through on run rate

Music

lol S.A.

I had a feeling that NZ would win this game as soon as we knew Murali was'nt playing. He scares the shit out of us and its plainly obvious. The boys must have been well stoked in the shed upon finding that out.
looking forward to the England game fo real! Hopefully they play one of those "we're already in the semi's so we dont care" shockers, letting us in nicely.
But yeah, soft dismissals man, that Broom one was a total shocker, obviously caught in two minds, scared of getting out, so not wanting to go to hard at it, but still wanting to score off a shit ball. Taylor was due a fail, so meh on that one.
Still dont agree with pushing Daniel higher than 7 though, unless the match situation dictates it, other guys just have to do their job better.
Gutted about Ryder, but this is Redmonds last opportunity imo, so he will play accordingly hopefully.

Should you be allowed a runner for cramps? I reckon no, as it's not an injury but a conditioning thing.
[quote]
Oh and...

How New Zealand can qualify

quote:
A win will obviously take them through - they might even top the group if the margin is comprehensive enough. However, New Zealand have a small chance even if they lose a low-scoring game by a very narrow margin: if they score 250 or less, and England win off the last ball (or a few balls remaining, depending on the target), New Zealand's net run rate will edge ahead of Sri Lanka's.

As funny as that was, it's a bit rich coming from the guy that would get Dean Jones (who would have faster than Usain Bolt between the wickets) to be his runner when he was cramping up.

Dean Jones was quick, but he wasn't as lightning quick as those biased Aussie commentators liked to make out.

I remember one Aus/NZ game where the started timing the players between the wickets. They shut up when they found out Bryan Young was actually much quicker than Jones.

Very unlucky once again in the availability stakes. Looks like replacement Redmond won't be playing due to not arriving in the country until 7am this morning. So what's the likely team? They'll HAVE to play Hopkins by the looks?

Collingwood wandered out of his crease after a delivery and McCullum threw down the stumps. 3rd umpire gave Collingwood out, but Vetorri called him back. Apparently Collingwood throught it was the end of the over or something.

Music
[quote]
Yep, the ball was barely into the keeper's hands and he went wandering off down the pitch like some sort of schoolboy.

The only reason he got called back is because Dan wanted to make a point about being a 'gentleman' after what happened last year in England when Elliot didn't get recalled. This incident was totally different and was completely Collingwood's fault. Very happy that it didn't affect the outcome of the game, but it very nearly could have, given that Collingwood was the only player to get any bloody runs.

What the fuck dude? Are you serious? We play badly in a couple of games and suddenly all the wheels are off and the they can't perform as a team because there is to many individuals who are great. We have won ODI series's in every continent over the last couple of years and we consistently win games against the big guns. Stop talking about NZ that is a team because they are not ... they are a bunch of average players who if you are lucky can string together a couple of games ... FACT.
[quote]
Its not just "played badly in a couple of games" though is it. Its more like "consistantly underperform on the biggest stage" Again I draw parrellels with the AllBlacks who often have had the best individuals in world cups but dont deliver. you can shovel your head into the sand and refuse to admit there is a problem if yuo want *shrug* But its pretty obvious there is one

FWIW...the NZ cricket team has always been known as a side that gets its results via the "team" factor. Lots of bit players, very few class individuals, dibbly dobblers, commited fielding etc Smile
