not bad, not bad, its all about the DB9 though Wink

A good friend of mine has a good mate whos got a DB9 .. had a we sit in it .. and ohhhhh ... very very impressive.
[quote]
Yea I can see why its attractive to others, but I just don't like the back of the car so much.

I like the grunty V12 big sexy beast of a car!

<Thats why a have a shitty BMW320 which is going to make me bankrupt, as it just burns gas. Like its not expensive enough!> Mad Crying or Very sad

I just like the DB9 for the performance, My real opinion is I wouldn't waste the money on either. I'd buy an R34 GTR V-Spec II and use the change to turn it into a monster that will easily out accelerate, brake and out handle an aston martin and still have some cash left over to add in a mack audio system and some 20" spinners...

Disclaimer: Im not serious about teh spinners....

You would notice the qaulity differences .. sometimes for some people its more important than raw power.

my current flavour of the month in terms of dream cars is a phantom.

6.75l v12, 460hp/338KW, 720Nm (531 lb ft), MSRP us$328,750

can you possibly get much pimper than a ride with 21" rims with mini spinners designed purely to keep the RR logo upright all the time? and suicide doors have always been the ultimate cool. Wink

ideally this one with that driver Wink

ah but raw power is not everything I speak of, I mentioned braking and handling both as important as power. If I was building a street car I'd get the interior trimed in leather and sound deaden it for the audio.

With care and know how you can create something of extreme quality and the only thing its lacking is the poncy badge... Rolling Eyes

Well a few options, modify the standard ones and chrome them, you could get the little RR to still stay upright, personally I'd keep them to one side and buy some bigger chrome ones. I just dont like the design.

ill take a Veyron thanks

"An official figure of 252.95 mph was recorded as the two-way average in the car’s most recent high-speed test run.

The figures see the Veyron smash the recent 241mph claimed by Koenigsegg with its CCR and the McLaren F1’s long standing 240.1mph record set in 1998. It’s not only the top speed that’s sensational but also the Bugatti’s acceleration. The four turbo, four-wheel-drive supercar sprints to 62mph in just 2.5 seconds and reaches 300kph (186mph) in a scarcely believable 16.7 seconds. To put those figures into perspective a merely fast car like an Aston Martin DB9 would take over a minute longer to reach 300kmh and sprints to 62mph in 4.9 seconds. The Bugatti makes even Porsche’s Carrera GT look pedestrian; it takes 3.9 seconds to reach 62mph and tops out at ‘just’ 205mph."

bout 405kmh Smile as far as I know it wont just do it out of the box, 'High Performance Mode' requires a different key and probably a lot of papers to be signed..

yeah but it's a roller, it's not supposed to thump and bang down the street, it's supposed to 'waft' Wink

seriously, check the official website. the 'waftability' that a rolls should have was one of the suspension design criteria. Laughing

Race tracks have heaps of track days open to the public so in answer to your question - as fast as the !@#$ing thing will go Cool

the beauty of an aston martin or whatever is they are pre built performance cars so you dont have to worry about stuff like 'if i crank up the boost will my brakes stop me when I stand on them at the end of the back straight at puke', everythings built for what it can do. I just bought new callipers, discs and pads for my skyline which cost me a small fortune but the standard ones would have been a bit dodgey on the track..
