Wow! I think I could easily live in Amsterdam. i REALLY enjoyed my 5 day holiday there. It probably helped that Sept had been completely and utterly the worst month i've experienced in years, and i was in desperate need of a relaxing break (and no, i didn't spend all my time 'relaxing' in coffee houses, just the once)

We stayed in a beautiful studio apartment across the canal from the Anne Frank House on the Prinsengracht, did a few museums, shopped in the great boutiques in the nine streets area, gawked at all the ugly british tourists in the red light district & sat and watched the world go by drinking in the cold autumn sun Smile
I had intended to ride a bike when i got there, and i enjoyed it so much more than id expected. It was just so much fun! Even biking to a club on Saturday night (the sugar factory) for some really good electro glitches and distorted visuals Music
It was so much like a friendly, laid back wellington crowd, we felt right at home.

For me it was the perfect (,romantic)& fun holiday and i can't wait to go back Mr. Green

It would just be the most perfect place in the whole world for my upstairs & downstairs bookstore / coffee shop - or koffee shoppe - which ever Wink

Beautiful Music

Amsterdamn is like a fairy world were reality doesn't exist. Whatever you have an interest in doing you can just enjoy it and nobody bothers you.
Been there essentially 3 times in 9 months, its just the sort of place you always want to spend 'just one more day' at.
Already looking forward to next trip there for Trance Energy in feb Mr. Green

beautiful city and once you get over the coffee shop madness of your first few visits there is SO much more to it.

I'm lucky that I have friends who live there so I can stay with them or use their flat when they aren't about.
I even got to DJ a canal boat party there which was amazing Music

Amsterdam *day dreams*

Forget images of red lights, drug addicts and coffee shops - Amsterdam's truly liberal, laid back atmosphere, beautiful watery setting, picturesque houses, excellant museums and infamous nightlife makes this city an unique appeal.

Like you princess, I could quite easy live there for a while.

I love the place, but don't know if I'd want to live there for too long.

Yeah Amsterdam's great. I've been there 4 times now. Considering I don't smoke weed, I wonder what my family think each time I tell them I'm off to Amsterdam!
