You'd think it would be reasonably simple to put the correct oil filter on a popular model of engine?

I feel like ringing them and saying "you know how you couldn't work out why my car was making a funny noise? It's because your inept staff put the wrong oil filter on."

I am certain that would only frustrate me more though.

actually you'd be surprised pfunk. we did 'nomas recently, and seems theres actually 2 different ones for SR20's. best we can tell, one is metric the other is imperial. doesn't make sense to us either.

mind, we couldn't even get the wrong one on, you'd have to force it pretty damned good to get it on there.

Ahhh well I see ya boggle....
SR20 motors can take one of 2 filters....a 15208-65F00 or a 53J00.
Usually its the F00 but sometimes the J00 will fit the NZ new 14s... Smile
Lol sounds funny eh.......When I worked at Nissan, even the Nissan Trained mechanics f***ked it up too......

there's no way to tell until you pull the old filter off it seems. Neutral

still, i can forgive sr20's for that Pink Winky
