What I love about London...

The people
The smell
The weather
The public transport
The shopping
The food
The night life
The whole way of London life

Somedays you win, somedays you lose.
I love this city
I love to hate this city

Now, I know I'm only fresh here, but I cant help wondering if when my time to go home arrives, I'm not going to want to go.

Will I be ready? There is so much to see and do here, how can I fit it all in, in two years?

Are there any nexus biggies who have been here for 2 years or more? Will my greenness wear off and leave me begging for life in the slow lane? (No offence NZ).

Thoughts and opinions welcome Smile

Well i personally dont want to go back........I probably will do so to visit family, but i dont see myself going back to NZ to live until im ready to retire..!!

most people i have met are usually pretty gutted when there two years run out, but that may be because they dont have the option of staying, you allways want what you cant have , grass is allways greener etc,,,

if your really not enjoying london ,there are other options..!! I love edinburgh myself, it has all the advantages of london, but with a more agreable pace of life i , glasgow is much the same, find a job in the lake district, or the cotswolds, isle of man etc...there much much more to britian than the london backpackers ghettos..!!

I am the first to admit that I am guilty of moaning about London....but no city is perfect. They all have their ups and downs. London is what you make it.

It takes 3-6 months to really start enjoying it. By that time you are really settled with new mates, flat, job etc and would have hopefully got some travelling under your belt.

Nearly every single person I know that has gone back to NZ has come back and nearly every single person I know here who's visa has run out has tried to find another way to stay.

LONDON ROCKS!

london does indeed rock!

I went through the homesickness stage about a month ago, now I'm over it and absolutely loving it!

It's amazing how quickly you adapt to life in a big city, I think Wellington is going to feel very empty and small when I go back.

Hmmmm, might have to marry an english man to stay Pink Winky
