Hullabaloo - March 2

Hey all

Just to let ya know the next Hulla is on Saturday March 2 @ Vic/Massey University, Wellington (Tasman Street entrance). Its a part of Vic & Massey orientation so should be a crazy one.

My set is confirmed for 10:30-12:30 in the Hard House Zone, so you'll have to get ya shit together early if you want to catch me joining some noises together - hehe

Looks like the Fevah / Hullabaloo promoters have decided not to clash with one another this time and make it the hell weekend for Wellington!

Friday 1st March: Fevah @ Startlight Ballroom
Saturday 2nd March: Hullabaloo @ Vic/Massey Uni

Although I guess its quite a different crowd, Hullabaloo being aimed at a much lower age group/experience level...but still...

I thought that Hullabaloo @ Wgtn Town hall was the best yet and that was on the same night as Skol @ Fevah... I understand both parties were pretty packed out!

Yeah Fevah sold out. I had a freebie for Hullabaloo that night and went along for a while. Not a bad party, was a bit put off by the 16 year olds munting out in the brightly lit corridors though .

The last Hullabaloo wasn't impressive at all, seems they forgot to put bass bins in the hardhouse room - either that or the dj turned off the base as the music was pretty much screechy mid and treble And that house room couldnt possibly have fit more than 20 people!

All in all, giving a choice and a bit of competition is a good thing though. Keeps the Fevah boys on their feet

A double header in our own backyard (welly) sounds
a lot better on the pocket, lot less travel.

Shit, I'll miss it as part of Uni orientation too.

Fucking dubmass promoters - talk about déja vu - this double up of events happened late last year as well.

I'm not too worried about missing it, it'll probably be full of drunk, irritating fucked up uni students anyway. But then again - I'm cynical!

jak changed his dates to avoid fevah last year and then they changed their dates on him. so i don't blame him if he doesn't bother checking with them anymore. Hullaballoo kicks Fevah anytime inmy book.
