HUD (again)

Anyone know which car makes and models had/have heads up displays of a speedo? Or, alternatively, does anyone know if anyone makes an inexpensive after market unit now?

The C6 corvette has one.

yeah C6 'vette (and maybe C5 from memory), current BMW 5 and 6 series. there's a few others to but they don't spring to mind right now.


now, back in time, some S13 Silvias had them, as did some U13 Bluebirds.

never ever seen an aftermarket unit, as it needs to be pretty well integrated with the car ECU and from memory the windscreen needs to be specially treated as well.

yeah it must've been a bluebird that I saw it in once. Sounds like more trouble than it's worth then, not just the install and integration, but treating the windscreen too... But every now and then I think how cool would that be in my car...
Do ya reckon they'll become a standard feature in production cars eventually?
