Just got back from Melbourne where our friends at Future Entertainment pout on Global Gathering at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl - awesome venue, well set out, not far to the bar, not far to the bathrooms, 4 zones...what more could you need?

There would have been no more than 2000 people at what was supposed to be a 8-10,000 gig from what I could see. damn!

Ticket prices went from $107 down to $75 then down to $75 and receive a ticket to Summerdayze...ouch!

Kraftwerk didn't play citing that one of them had "heart issues" before they were due to play but miraculously he will be playing in Perth the night after!

Kid Kenobi was cancelled from his slot due to "low ticket sales"

It was a pretty good lineup but no one went! The weather was shite but we managed 8 hours in the freezing cold and sometimes torrential downpours

MARK RONSON Rocked the party and with all of the "behind the scenes" stuff going on I would have happily paid $107 just to see Mark Ronson!

Just goes to show how hard it is to get people to gigs these days!

Its always a gamble. You never really know what the people are going to do. I've put on a lot of gigs over the past 3 years. Some are very successful, others are not so great. Just gotta keep coming up with something new I guess.

Didn't really care about the lack of people, the crowd that was there were cool, and the music was top notch. And if you came prepared for the weather you were fine..
