How racist is your country?

Japan is actually a fully racist country especially towards forigners

The mayor of Tokyo was quoted as saying that all foreigners were thieves! When asked to clarify he said "I apologoise, I meant that MOST foreigners on working and student visas are thieves"

If you are a foreigner and want an apartment a lot of real estate agents just see you and say "chotto muzukashi" (hmmm, a little difficult). Basic translation is fuck off foreigner though


A chinese person sue a real estate agency for saying they wouldnt rent to them simply beacsue they were chinese and cooked oily food


So, its not blatant racism as a lot of it is behind closed doors but theres definately a bit out there towards foregners

One of my mates lives in Tokyo...he said even on a crowded tube people wont even sit next to him!!

Heaps of mates have said that too. I dont seem to have a problem .... but I'm dark haired and not too talll so probably blend in a bit more

Some places (like Japanese bars) will simply not let you in and all they'll say is gaijin (foreigner) and shake their heads

I think British people are silently racist. They don't go announcing it from the rooftops!

Mind you, I have found the non-white races more racist than the white ones.

aussie is racist. but calling peeps wogs isn't racist. Its like calling someone maori. and certain sections of town are fully asian = chinatown. fully.

that said. when it comes to food - within 5 mins walk = indian, malaysian, thai, chinese, japanese, egypian, morrocan, irish, singaporean, italian, french, ..... what else? most of those, there's multiple examples.... but I live in a restraunt area - somthing like 143 within 5 mins DRIVE....

Singapore is a bit, but for me it works 'to my advantage' - I get treated like a king as most people think I am dripping with money (hmmm, prices go up!).

It doesnt feel right however to be treated better because of your race.
