How about a SPORTS forum.

I would really like to see SPORT taken away from the Current Affairs forum.

And a SPORT forum started up.

I think the 2 topics are inherently different (ie seperated in every news source in the world) and would tidy up current affairs a bit.

Plus....the sport forum would be a HAVEN for us addicts to the world of games!!!!

We looked at this before theres no need to seperate the two as this forum doesnt move fast enough to loose threads.

Its ussually pretty obvious which posts are sports or CA or bollix just by the topic.

Im sure you can manage.

Current affairs is fine as it is. There isn't a need for a separate sports forum.

Sometimes sport treads show up in the Lounge and due to the amount of threads in there, the sporting 1's get missed.

If there was a sporting forum then most of the sporting threads will find there way into that Forum.

There are sweet fa sports threads as it is certainly not enough to warrant a separate forum.

I feel a sports forum would encourage more debate.

I mean....I'm a recent addition to sports discussion.....I would've been there in a flash with more output it there was a dedicated place.

There is no need for another forum. This has been looked at before, and as I see it, nothing has changed since we last discussed this.

I as a rule hate sports and have thought about the few sports threads that pop up on CA and yep they bug the hell outta me generally....

However I (man I so don't wanna say this) suit this forum, there's not enough to justify another forum (at least yet)

Personally I think a sports forum is a TOP IDEA.
I love sport but buggered if I know enough about them to discuss them at length.

Between the sports and the goddamn Middle East & America too-ing & fro-ing (sorry, just SO over it) , it's like wading thru a mud pool to find a topic of interest to discuss (I know I know - start your own topic but my last effort in that got rather heated: Death Penalty???)

Whilst I understand 'the less forums, the better' perhaps just something to consider again in the future.

If it really took off then of course we will look at it but as it is at the moment there is no need and it might even be worse for sports discussions, you need a critical mass for a forum and your threads might lure in some unsuspecting polital type person

In CA there is usually a maximum of about 3 active sports thread, often none at all. That is not enough for a separate forum. Once sports start to dominate CA then its time for a separate forum. The logic about sports being separate is not true, most of the time its part of the news bulletin and so belongs in the 'news' forum.

All the sport nuts who would never venture into CA otherwise wanna feel clever, even though all they are talking about is a pastime...

Fuck I wouldn't mind an America/bush/iraq forum to filter that crap out too.

If oyu want a sports forum then post as much shit about sport as you possibly can. Eventually you will either a) get a sports forum, b) create enough sports topics to dilute those same 50 Iraq/Al Queda/Bush threads that get posted everyday.
