The King of Modern Day Rave House is venturing to New Zealand for one night only at the home of underground electronic music, Ink & Coherent.Showcasing expansive bass tunes, funkadelic Drums, grimey sythns, explosive sirens, fidgety bass stabs and Euphoric breakdowns which have enough sexual innuendo to keep a nun awake for a week, this will be a night of complete and utter Madness.

Scottish producer Hostage needs little introduction to the bass fanatics out there, often considered Europes more prolific producer of late, he is always hard at work in the clubs and in the studio manufacturing tough electro to dubstep beats that span a wide spectrum of musical styles with devastating dancefloor accuracy.

Edinburgh-born Hostage has been tipped by many to be one of electronic music’s big stars this year, and it’s easy to hear why, he describes his sound as “spack-house-electro and live sets involving reckless stupidity” - check his storming mix for Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show from earlier this year to hear for yourself.

Over the last couple of years his raving pilgrimage has taken him all over Europe, US, Asia and Australia bringing a heady mix of rave, electro and house to the bass-hungry masses. Last year he headlined the Overkill stage at Glade and this year he played before Boys Noize in the Annie Mac Presents tent at Rockness and played the Arcadia Afterburner at Glastonbury before coming to Origin.

A favourite of not just the Murda Sound crew, but of DJs all over the world from Annie Mac to Crookers to DJ Yoda.Hostage Covers the whole spectrum, from wobble to bang-bang!, this will be a night of face melting beats mashing boundaries between dubstep, house, tech, fidget and minimal proto-Jungle BASS.
