Help!

I am in the Miss Auckland beauty pageant, god knows why it stopped being fun the second day i was in it. I hate competitions where everyones fake. I feel like the only person worried everyone else seems so relaxed and naturally thin! I really want to win!

Im training everyday for this, i go out for a jog in the evening and do some sit ups, what can i do to get rid of my tummy and my FLABBY arms in two weeks? I work full time and dont want to go to a gym does anyone have any advice?

The best thing for you to do it post a few pics of you in bikinis and maybe some underwear so that we can assess the problem areas and tell you how to attack it. You will have to do a little more than just a run and a couple of sits-ups however. Anyway like a said above, post some pics and we can work from there.

Good question, because as cheesey as it sounds i want to actually be a good role model to younger girls, show them they can be themselves and not follow everyone else, im the only person in that comp with short hair for example etc, everything in the media is so poorly portraied tht wud be gud for women to have someone out there whos not always stick thin with bundels of makeup on?

I want to be fit not size zero.

Im also doing it for me, because everyone has always told me i could never do something like this and i want to prove them wrong, and be proud of myself. I still will be proud even if i dont win just for making it in but doesnt mean im not going to try.

Is it just me or are tons of the girls there just the same old ones who do all the promos, bikini comps, dance party podiums etc? Doesn't strike me as a great Miss Universe-quality line-up.

Heh there are a few promo types in there. That's how they get into it- it's a beauty pageant, what other 'sort' of girl do you think you're going to attract? Although this year there are quite a few genuine hotties IMO. Much more than the last couple of years. Half a dozen or so quality ladies in there.

I was thinking the same thing. I see dozens of girls who I'd consider better looking than any of them every time I go to Newmarket or to town. It's not even a close call.

Real pageant talent don't do promo work or bikini comps imo.

Usual load of bullshit. Bikini and lingerie comps are just other pageants, good practise for something like this. There are lots of girls that do them to help stage confidence etc before larger pageants like this.

Also, there is SO MUCH decent promo work out there. It's easy money and I would say that for girls at Uni (especially) there is no easier or more consistent way to make money. Not all promo work is sleazy energy drink brands or car competitions. And even if it was then who gives a shit? They're still using their assets to make some easy cash.

The reason I said there are better contestants this year is because I actually know a few of them, and not because I personally want them to win, but I actually know that these pics ain't doing them justice. As usual the Miss Auckland website is the most atrocious piece of turd going around, and it looks like it's been the same website since 1990.

Heh this is kinda funny since you like Ms Chan. Gale Chan is the current Miss Hawaiian Tropic - which is something I love to be honest. I love bikini girls and fake tits, but that's me. Both girls are hot IMO, but Ria has a very obvious look that would (and probably will) translate well to pictorial modeling. Her I don't know. Would like to though.

Amberette, good luck, I think your in with a chance personally if looks is what this things really about, these guys are just being cunts (I think, I really don't get some of the names you lot have picked out...).

Getting fitter and visibly losing fat takes longer than 2 weeks though so you can just cram exercise, and as far as I know you can't target areas, because the body will choose where it burns fat from (usually from the last place it put it) so it's a long term thing.

Don't ever write like that "gud" etc anywhere that it counts - it's a turn off. Well maybe it isn't if your target is idiots, but it is for everyone else.

I think that's a point.. I know maybe 50 girls hotter than all but one of the girls on that page (only at a quick glance to be fair) - none of whom do promo work or enter bikini comps etc.

Which leads me to think, perhaps because so many pageants in NZ are promoted by (or are in close proximity to) promo/bikini girls/companies normal models view them as beneath them (surprise huh!) and tons of other beautiful girls don't want to be associated with what they probably see as soft porn - which is what car-show girls and bikini comps basically are.

It's not hard to see that if you go to a bikini comp in Auckland the same core group of girls is there every time. Maybe the need to have entrants inspired some encouragement from their mates/promo companies... which has in turn either made it impossible for others to (think they can) win or lowered the perceived value of the competitions in other girl's eyes - the ones who really do care about world peace etc.
