Haze pissed?

Who else noticed that he was pretty pissed while playing on Friday night at Kiss? To me that's a no-no as a DJ.

He didn't play at Kiss on Friday night!

you were obviously pretty fucked up too - cause he was playing at bed - not kiss...

from what i heard he played well anyway, so who cares how smashed he was...

ha ha...thats the problem when you go out 3 nights on a weekend...one night merges into the next

full credit to him for being able to dj when he couldn't even handle the stairs...

It is only a no-no if you play like shit.

I have seen/heard Haze play in all sorts of conditions and he ALWAYS plays wickedly!

Maybe pass comment when a drunk dj is playing like shit and don't tie Haze's name to this thread

i didnt say he played bad, i said i think dj's who get drunk while playing is a no-no. Cause there have been times sets have been messed up cause of that reason!

I get pissed (among other things) to practice @ home cause every time I've played out its been at a party and I haven't exactly been straight as a board.

Before I have a gig, I get stoned, I sing better when wasted, or maybe I just think I do

anyway we have to be drunk cos its hard on anything else...especially that night at the kase many years ago where the turntables started melting into the table and the records were talking to me and i walked out of the dj booth and went home

ObrienBoy - whats the difference whether he plays pissed, stoned or pilled up?

As long as his set is tight and everyone is enjoying it including him then there should be no problems.

the only time it matters what ubstance you are on as a dj is if it affects yuor performance... i once saw a DJ fall own cos he was so pissed (cant remember who it was no one special) that is bad. if you cant handle your piss/pill/whatever you shouldnt be doing it anyway.

but on the flip side, is that work is work, no matter what you do, i wouldnt go to work intoxicated, so maybe other people shouldnt... hmmm food for thought
