What type of role within admin/ops?
At the moment I do a whole range of things ranging from training new staff in our systems, reports for the CEO, fixing random things that go wrong at our sites and my big project at the moment is getting a new staff incentive scheme up and running, organising all the prizes etc etc. Not your typical ops role. If I were to go back to publishing I'd be looking more at ad sales support, sub editing and maybe even a bit of writing (all of which I've done before).

How important is it that you have industry specific experience to be able to do your job?
For publishing? Fairly important. For what I'm doing at the moment (hair company)? Not overly.
Yeah I wont be contacting agencies until right before I get there, but because I'm arriving in London in med December I figure I should get everything sorted ASAP and have a decent list of places to approach so at least I'll be ready for interviews etc straight after the holiday period.
I'd actually like to look into working for L'Oreal UK so I'll be keeping an eye out for anything that looks like me on their recruitment page.
