Wanting to know if anyone on here can or knows of a place to get a PC tower built??

I want to connect it to my LCD tv and use it in my longue for standard use, also to watch my movies saved on a harddrive and music thru my stereo.

Prob want it to be Windows based, 500gig hard drive should be enough and then whatever it needs to preform my tasks. will need wifi, ill be using a wireless keyboard set up

Not going to be used for gaming

cheers

go to the small business section of Dell and look there.

a dual core 2.1 should be enough for most stuff.

(HD can use up a decent amount of system resources including graphics cards)

If its for standard def then you could buy a second hand computer or an eeeBox.

wireless keyboards use either RF or bluetooth, not wifi.

I recommend Playtech if you're set on a whitebox.

Doesn't sound like you want anything too customised, except maybe a wifi card.

Maybe have a look at pricespy and click through to some retailers around. A lot of them will do customised packages.

If you buy all the parts for a new PC from ascent they either put it together free, or they give you a few percent off the price if you put it together yourself.

I dont think they do that anymore.

correct

As of July 31st 2008, Ascent will no longer be building custom built PCs. The PC Builder tool will still be available, but 'Ascent to assemble' will no longer be an option.
