Good Afternoon,
Due to the actions of two individuals the fire alarms were maliciously activated at 4.12am at both Double Happy and The Concrete Club resulting in the evcacuation of both venues.
As some of you are aware there are a number of cameras located throughout both bars, both visible and some more discreet. In this case the incident has been caught in full color on two cameras and clearly shows two males holding a Zippo to a heat sensor until it activated.
The individuals have been identified and the footage is being forwarded to the Police today and charges will be laid. The individuals will face criminal charges and our landlord, security provider and both trading companies will also be persuing civil charges relating to damages to property and loss of income. These damages are estimated to be in the region of $6000.
We hope that these individuals enjoyed the great night that came before this incident as it will be the last time they hear drum & bass at any venue other than the Ministry for many years to come.
It is a shame that the actions of these two individuals impacted on so many peoples enjoyment, hard work and business interests. Luckily you will not have to share a club with them again in the forseeable future.
