Wholey shit thank god!

I'm assuming you'll be stocking vinyl? New Vinyl?
[quote]
Yes, new stock weekly

Only new vinyl (no second hand)
[quote]
Nice work, Hamiltrons own record store Music
[quote]
Made keen il work for u
[quote]
No drum&bass or hip hop? Sad

with the amount of hip hop and D&B djs in Hammy I think you should consider stocking it,just cover rent! and then keep the 4/4 stuff for play....
Note you have absolutely no competition....why not open the market up a little?

Still bigest of Ups !! Wink

where abouts?

Are you going to have an opening party?

If you change your mind about D&B let me know. Music Music

Woa...

Someone had to do it.. Bout time init?

I've moved out of Hamilton and live in Melbourne now but Just adding to what highspeedsubbing just said, Def get Drum N Bass and Hip Hop Vynil coming in.. or you will be missing a good market for sure...

And if all goes well make sure one of you original Local Motion/Catalyst DJ's Regulars get yourself a spot working for em.. rather than Jim Bob McFly who likes the odd Beaks CD but knows 'jack shit' about the Oldshool/Current/Upcoming - Breaks/Hip Hop/Drum N Bass Producers and the best stuff coming out on the market...

otherwise the sales will suffer init...

Just my 4.6 Cents with Sweedish Rounding

Music It's about time! Finally a shop worth leaving work during my lunchbreak for!
[quote]
awwww hey now,heeeey now.....

What about 2k freq generators.......Remember them in that little arcade behind where Havoc used to be?.....about the 'xtatic period',When Gopal was learning the ropes....just before the judder bar,and that place that was where Monkey feather is now.....wassit called again? subway?

Trent and those monkeys were running the club and the store....where are they now?

Was that the first record store?...........I got some of my first ever Techno records from them......
[quote]
laff dawg is correct, this will be about the third or fourth rekkid store in H-Towns prestigious history.....

cool eh?

but yer, you should def stock d'n'b and hip hop, its just like Mareko says, .....welly, auckland, christchurch, H-Town!, now why would he say H-Town if it didn't have a scene!!

boh!
[quote]
Thanks for the comments

Our suppliers from UK and US all supply upfront D&B and Hip Hop so will definetly stock if the demand is there.

We will also be carrying a large back cat of classics etc as well.

Expect massive opening specials on all stock plus an opeing party somewhere to.

Suggestions please.
[quote]
Crack Up Laff.. I remember 2K Freq Generator!

Do you guys remember PULSE?

Time flys eh...

But thats good news Fusion Records!

I leave some of the H-Town crew to come up with suggestions for an opening party....

But it's nice to see someone doing H-Town a favour in dance music culture...

Make sure you locals support em, and not to seem negative 'but more so to make a valid point to the selfish' Don't fuck em round with ticking up records! If you don't intend to buy them... You don't ask them to get them in for you.... seen!

Keep it profesional aye
[quote]
word rival...........your so knowledgeable!!, your like that gandolf fella!

all the Best to Fusion Records, i hope it goes really well for you and is not a one minute wonder.

I'm sure if you do your research (like your doing now) you will soon get a handle on what peeps want and then you can deliver......

yeah, and, and, do you guys remember when pizza Hut was the only "chain" restaurant and it was thought of as real classy

Neutral
[quote]
2k freq generators hehehehe, that crazy chic with the dreads from Zest hair studio and LTD (Industry) ran that place and also used to throw the early Hamilton raves out of the metor. Thats going back a while!!!
[quote]
Yo I would seriously consider leaving where I am at the moment,St marys bay(pons),the poshest of posh neighbourhoods just to come back to hammy to work at this record store........

Sounds like good things are happening with 89fm,there could possibly be radio station back on the Bnet soon.......But weve been saying that for ages....Its all going to court soon.At least we have george.

Tracs and Big tones are stocking LPs,
tracs' are mainly global underground and BT styles......
and big tones has a small crate of drum and bass which nobody wants......

This would be the best move to re-inforce the culture. With Uni students coming and going all year round every 'scene' for the past three to five years suffers come christmas time...and then rebuilds slowly throughout the begining of the year, weird.

This store could be a great introduction point for school leavers about to hit the clubs....."the link"

But the main thing is the starving DJ's need for new music.
I know im sick of travelling!! Car

Youll recieve my CV in the mail this week Fusion... Pink Winky

There are people on this forum I would wish to give my support for the position at your record store... these people deserserve the appreciation they have earnt.
As an MC I have worked with these people on a regular and found their professionalism rivaled with any others world wide, This select group have an untainted passion for the music you wish to stock in your store.
The Knowledge they posess does not cover just their chosen genre of play but most of the genres you wish to stock.

Yes Ive been a very busy boy,
Making a CV is just one of many things Ive been doing ,(ha ha)...can you belive Im 25 and never ever had to use one.
Dave, I called Central Station to speak with you about emailing it to you,I had a brief chat to Camielle on Friday,Ill print it out put it in a binder and drop it in before wednesday.

If this is not to late,I didnt realise It was opening so soon.

Oh and the opening party,
I think it would be good to go somewhere mutual to everyone.Rather than a preferred club like,Liquid lounge,Catalyst or Monkey Feather.
Sohl is good for conversation and that sort of schmusey thing.(loungey)

Or the Loft simalar to Sohl but with sexier staff.(george fm djs)

Or If its to be an absolute raise the roof event look at venues, like Pulse.
