BIO:

Aum consists of Jeremy Graham and Darryl Turner, two local producers from Hamilton, NZ who have been making and playing tunes together sine the start of 2008. The Aum sound ranges from Dub and Ambient, to Dubstep and Drum & Bass, entirely composed, performed and produced by the two. This same ethos is carried over into Aums live performances where their original tracks are cut up, re-mixed and re-arranged to create a cross genre experience, including live elements, blurring the lines between musical performance and DJ style mixing.

Before they became Aum, the two producers had their roots imbedded in Psychedelic-Dub Rock, playing Guitar and Bass in a band together for a year. While embarking on seperate musical education endevours both gaining qualifications in Music Production, the two were to meet up again at the beginning of 08 and eventually started producing tunes together and performing live.

Aum is conscious awareness, the sound of the universe.
When one listens to music, one directly taps into the surrounding ambient space that was originally captured by the artist upon its creation.
Wether it be a feeling or memory, the artist embeds this surrounding atmosphere onto the recording.

Over the years Aum has delved into various music styles, creating thought provoking electronica in all its forms.
Each of their works aims to capture and present moments of conscious experience so that the listener can interpret their own thoughts and feelings towards each piece of music.
