Great win for tall blacks

Great to see the tall blacks have a win over russia. They beat a few top teams on the way to the champs, but winning beating russia at the event itself is a great feat. Hopefully they'll win some more games to prove being there was certainly no fluke.

Yeah good show against Venezuela (NE1 know what they were ranked?). And for that matter what are Argentina ranked? I know nothing about the world Basketball scene in case you didn't figure.

Oh and exodus I actually meant do Russia have any NBA players or European champions players. But its cool to know a couple of ours boyz iz making it big overseas!

Venezuela 23rd
NZ 19th
Russia 5th
Argentina 3rd.

Venezuela had about 4 nba past and present players i didnt see the second 1/2 but yes i was very surprized at how good we are.

Lost today to argentina, but still through to the second round. A win there should see us into the last 8 which would be a great acheivement

Phil Jones has a contract to play in Italy this coming season. And Kirk Penney'll be a first round pick next season. And Sean Marks'll hopefully get some more court time for Miami. Poor Mark Dickle, he hasn't really performed to his usual high standards so far. I think the opponents are putting too much pressure on him. As in "Hey, that Dickle's pretty quick." "Yeah?" "Yeah. so pressure the fuck out of him"

It will be hard, but the Tall Blacks play better the longer the odds.

I agree with the-juice Kirk Penney'll go first round, with all this international experience he could even make the all-american team.

Think you may be getting a bit carried away about kirk penney, but yes, he should at least make the NBA. Marks is a huge loss though and I think we'll strugle to make last 8 without him. If we get top 6 we get into the next olympics basically which would be a great feat.

WHAT? Kirk Penney was named to the pre-season all NCAA first team. No way are we getting carried away. Dude has mad talent and he's still on the rise. Defensively, he has an issue, but when he's hot, he's burnin.

Kirk has lead his Wisconcin team the whole season, he has talent by the truck load !

I heard this morning that Marks is supposed to have a break of a few weeks according to specialists, but may ignore that advice and play some of the remaining games anyway.

i'm upset. we had no chance against Germany. we didn't even push them. we better perform better tomorrow. i think now they're just too excited. Like when u're all excited bout fuckin a chick, then u come too early. It doesn't happen to me, but i've heard about it. from friends.
