Google search Vs Address bar

I have noticed lately that rather than typing in the address to a website, even if I know it, I have been instead typing it into the google search toolbar on my browser.

It just seems easier.

did you know that the address bar will act the same way as a search bar in most modern browsers!

may as well add here here that omnibar for firefox replicates chrome's single address/search bar. handy.

i like the history shortcut too
