Seems like there is a plethora of choice this weekend. Fu as always is got stuff happenin tonite (go Darrin) and theres Wyndham Bowliing club with some diluted techno for those who dont like it too hard (awwww) .

And Matts gonna rok our sox at Grand Circle on Sat nite ! YAY!

So get off yer ass , away from the puter and outta the house - be a real person not a virtual thing, and dance to the choonz.

ANOTHER GOOD WEEKEND !!!!

except its all on Sat nite - gotta make choices aaaargjj

well unless you go to Chemistry and see Darrin King play
I understand he's doing an hour??? Would be great to see that!!

Wot you gonna play Slug?? gonna try and woo those housers or gonna blow their brains out !! heheh
[quote]
I vote blow their brains out...
[quote]
*ahem* and since when was chemistry a house night? Rolling Eyes and crucial, yep -blow 'em... coz it's gotta beat tryin' to suck them brains out through their a*ses like you usually do! heh heh j/k i'll see YOU at the paradise bar and lounge tomolo nite! (oops! that sounds like a choirboys & don henley megamix dont it?)
[quote]
chemistry could be worth a peek
great to see a multi-genre party offering summat for the tech heads Music
[quote]
i dont really know what Chemistry is - never been to one, BUT
I read the blurb on Lucien (the main DJ) and he said he was a houser so I just assumed that was the deal.... no biggie tho , in fact its great to see the Big Events going a bit more diverse !
[quote]
wicked!!
i recomend total focus and dedication to saturdays "by night" party, bank all yo banana's on that baby for sure.
thank you han for your techno/bootie tech premotion. ive got a good feeling about "by night" and i think you have done a comedable job at putting it together. ive heard quite a few non tech ppl showing a good deal of interest on the event, reaching new virgin punters is great for future events.
ive had several ppl speculating on its recent (paradise) closure due to overcrowding and their concerns that that could happen again. all i can say to that is: if that happened this saturday then it would be unpresidented. fancy that, a techno gig in AK overcrowding! it would be a good omen. bring it on!
[quote]
heh heh heh>> yeah www lets pack that bitch up with some phat tunes... nice 1 Han for organizing a platter of delightfully tastey beats
[quote]
Paradise is looking nice, good old fashion techno styles....
Going to be a great night, come on along if you're sitting on the fence, everone's really looking forward to busting out the fresh beats and a few classics to keep everyone moving!!

Bigups han....
[quote]
you lamewads who did'nt turn up to paradise (by night) sure missed out on a great night.
a solid night of tek and skills by all the dj's, everyone was onform.
thanks han.
[quote]
p.s. you lamewads who didnt turn up, dont post you excuses! just get your asre down there if we are lucky enough to get another By Night party.
[quote]
i dont mind posting my excuse - everyone who knows anything knows that I support techno. I am so pissed off that I couldnt go to either of Sat nite gigs.
U know what
I got busted on Fri and spent the nite in Central cells and when theyreleased me on bail they put a f*&^in night curfew on me. !!! Unbelievable esp given my crime was so minor.

Seriously annoyed (but stupid to put himself in this position)

peat

PS tell me more about the styles at Paradise.
[quote]
I think thats a god lesson to stop with the kiddy porn peat.... Froggy
[quote]
this was no virtual crime Damien
I dented a car door with my boot, and MR PC Plod saw me.... need I say more. Was drunk and stupid, noisy alarms on cars outside my apartment begin to aggravate me , and lost my head a bit.... C'est la vie.....
[quote]
Fuck... sorry to hear that peat.. 1 down, 11 to go Wink

thanks han for another wicked night of underground tech business! And thanks for the ghetto.jungle room, niceness all round.

And can't wait to see more of Sander out!!

thats rite! Razz but firstly i need to go out more often to see that Very Happy

oops, thats a sad turn of events peat. what a dam shame - those nasty fun hating bully boy police sure no how to bust up a good plan.
there will be a next time and im sure you will be on extra good behavour befor hand just in case. ill excuse you from the lamewad list, i was only joking and trying to make ppl aware of the great night they missed.
i dont think that the lack of numbers (there were actualy quite a few ppl there but spread out over three rooms!) should reflect an other wise positive start to a new techno night. maybe it would have been less of a gamble to just have the one room but then again that might have left some dj's of the bill and that would have been a shame also. perhaps the other room next to the techno (east side) room could have been used for the ghetto action. i heard jismatron (spelling?) laid down a pumping set, it must have been cos thats where everyone was at that moment except me, i was enjoying miles set and didnt want to migrate over to the other side. hopefully ill catch his action next time.
i hope there will be a next time..?? i was well impressed about the venue, it was nothing outstanding but it deffinatly had the right atmosphere and location. the windows a big big bonus and the bar owners were very wellcomming and hospitable.

message to han: im happy to help out for free if you nead in the future. i think it can work out well there and with a bit of extra brain stormming can even made to be cost effective. i supply the hospitality industry for a living and can deffinatly make paradise some good deals on bar equipment and glassware. it may help out to leverage future venue use.
anyway email me if you want to talk about it, no pressure or worries if your not into it either. im happy to help out a worthy cause.

thanks crucial for your incouragement. i now fully understand when dj's say 'its not like playing at home'. i found it quite frightning being elevated and illuminated like that, even if it was only infront of friends. its like learning from scratch, but well worth the effort i expect.

Shocked

hehe - yeah, it's always a different kettle of fish, every time you play it's a new experience, but once that initial first step is taken, it's a little bit easier, and you can start to get your head around playing out as opposed to mixing records (which can be 2 different things sometimes!!) Good work.

Every little bit helps, the budget was as watertight as possible (2 of ak's longest running underground promotors and a labrat brainstorming to make it cost effective) but you can only go so far before you start to scrimp on the important things (sound) etc.
It's at a point of coming down to numbers unfortunatly now, Hardsoul overall would have broken even - approx Wink if there wasn't a massive betrayal by a certain party costing the event over $2.5k. So sometimes it isn't just numbers... hopefully things might be resolved, but until then, we hope han and the like will keep the candle burning.
