good techno shops????

can anyone tell me where i can buy good quality techno and electro in auckland please. cheers

its kinda rough just laughing at people who post genunine inquiries Proof. you may be laughing at the fact that there isnt actually anywhere (I know of) to buy techno but it comes across badly.
Yeh simple turtle I'm not aware of anywhere but maybe someone else can assist.

I'm guessing most people buy music online these days. thats if they buy it at all. beatport juno itunes etc... hard to download the vinyl of course

its worth checking out real groovey and having a good old sift if you are after older records. i always find treasure there.. im often surprised by what i find in thier new techno bin also.

if you know what you want then online realy is your best bet.

Groovy is often great if you take the time to look through the second hand stock.

But yeah online is unfortunately the only way now if you want good, new stuff. RIP Play, Crucial, Beautiful Music etc

the auckland vinyl scene is in a sorry state.


crucial was great up on high st, the whole shop was tech and it was run by nz's top 2 techno djs as opposed to just a top ten techno chart.

not to forget the marbecks mezzanine with miles...i remember they had those maw 1990-2000 gold and silver box sets on sale when i was 13 GHHHRRRRR!

investigate Debit cards if you dont actually want credit. Some people arent good with credit. Westpac do them I think.

Credit is ok if you are strict with yourself and just pay it off as as soon as you use it. Buying vinyl you are forced to be pretty ruthless about what tunes you pick, I think this can be a good thing.

don't worry, it's gone to a good home....im anal about my records, no touching the grooves - only the edges, replace the inners, new pvc outer sleeves etc!

NR: real groovy had a copy of the silver one (1990-1995) last night for $50. its on the wall above the hophop cds, opposite the 2nd hand dance vinyl bins (my fave!)

just make sure u pay for parking, i THOUGHT i would be safe at 5:15 on a rainy firday night behind rg, but NO!.....seriously, who goes ticketing cars on wet fri nights?!?!?!?

Night Rider - I saw another copy yesterday at Real Groovy, up on the wall above the RnB section. Didn't say whether it was new or second hand but it looked in relatively good nick to me
