he wants polished dish with black inners (two peice)

I have seen some nice ones around .. thing is not to get gloss black .. but look at getting mat black or anodised black ...

My picks are

Rays (volk)
RacingHart
DPE
HRE
BBS

but they are very expensive.

The new style for the states (leaders for styling in alloy wheel design) is a three part step lip dish with the anodised inners. 3+inch lip (if you can fit them) Pumped rim with champhered tires (rim sticks out more than the tire.

I run most of this (- the black inner bit) on mine (see pic below of my rear wheel)

however .. Mr twincam needs 8inch by 17 on 225 rubber. common boys help him out ..

(Risk's wheels rule btw saw them up close over the holidays... bad bouy)

Here dem pics I was talkin about in that PM stizzle:

Pretty much my ideal rims

Volk LE37Ts … bad bwoy but about 4 grand I think.

On my car ( well a car that looks exactly like mine)

but yeah they are gunmetal anyways and i kinda want black

NZ ones that kinda come kind of close… but not really

5ZIGEN 76GN

but these are gunmetal again... and spokes are a bit thin

Konig Freefall

nice proportions- bit to decorative though eh... and they aint matte which is bad according to Nemisis

Dude that looks fucken tight ....

I would stick with that look .. it _REALLY_ suits in that colour too, clack will be to harsh. and the likely hood of you getting a non gloss black wont be high with out spending heaps.

Thats the anodised look I was talking about ...

DO IT! Very Happy

This is the step lip thing im talking about ... its where the inner meets the dish, makes the car look a lot more 'tough'

Um not sure where I saw it ... but it looked bad bouy..
[quote]
thats gotta be at least a 3 inch dish!!
[quote]
got dish?

[quote]
its a batmobile done up to look like the batmobile!!

Well Fuck me!!

You'll all be happy to know...I think I've found em'!!!

some dirty 'Lenso' bad bwoys from Mag Warehouse... still have to get em imported from Aussie though.

They are gloss BLACK wid the chrome lip... none a dis gunmetal crap.. I want them Black!!!!

I kinda agree with you Nemm... about black being quite "harsh" ... but I reckon black rims look sweet as long as they are on Black, white or silver cars... not so down with them on coloured cars though.

and they look exceptional so long as ya gots the black tints... which i will get very soon.

I think they will look mint though!

...and with tyres they are still about half the price of them Volk ones!!

choice

Cool

as long as they have the chrome lip (dish) then thats the shit. Deep dish wheels are coming back yo....

werd ... cept NZ is about 2 years behind in style .. lol at all the stupid copy cats buying up dumped shipments of chrome faced wheels. now they cant even get rid of them on trademe.

I have a friend who I have convinced to get BBS LM's on his RS Cosworth. about 6k including tyres .. but he wants some serious forged action ...

LM's on an M3

A guy I work with made up some custom 3 piece rims for his Z about a year ago. They looked pretty fucken cool. He just ordered the blanks for the offset he wanted. He machined the centers then bolted them all together. The rears had a 4" lip. Was a tight fit but they looked so good.

Alot of the cheaper ones just seem to have a chrome cover for the lip, this is not so cool.
[quote]
yeah, the lip should be polished .. not chromed .. although tons of alright looking styles in chrome are coming outta japan and the US
[quote]
this is them:

^^bit of a weird angle.

better pic, what they look like in gunmetal:

on a car (in gunmetal though- not in black):

not as bad ass as the Volks though, but closest I've found.

so yeah it is a 'polished lip' and not chrome.

What your fullahs thoughts?

I would prefer the gunmetal with a polished lip because the black is like a gloss black and not a matt black. Too glossy for my liking

BG marketing.
[quote]
The polished rim looks awesome, but i too like the gunmetal better. My lip is polished rather than chrome, its easy to fix if you kurb them, but they dont quite have the shine/bling of a chrome plate.... and they are an arse to polish!
[quote]
hmmm did a dodgy Pshop for yas ... yeah I know its not black .. and the front looks well funny .. but hey .. /care Smile

lolz...

Turns out dem ones are only in 17" anywayz and I want 18" so prolly aint right anywayz...

and I dont care what anyone ses I want em' black not stupid gunmental, Black!!!! Mad

heh.

Apparently new models of rims are coming out around March/april so might just wait and see what they look like...

or just flag the whole thing and spend the money on crack and ho's.
[quote]

heh... yeah for sure... I mean, I've been looking for like 6 months, so no real hurry... just waiting to find the right ones eh.

Do ya have any imgaes or links so I can have a looksee?...

keeping in mind I am a well fussy bitch!
[quote]

Here is one of the wheels, its a funny angle cos it kinda looks like the centre is chrome but it is actually black.

2sets coming in 18" x 7.5" - 5x114.3, 40et-offset - your prelude fitment
[quote]

Also another similar option, again it doesn't look that black in the picture but they are fully black and in your prelude fitment
[quote]
hmmm.

definately not keen on the first ones... second ones are ok... but spokes are a bit thin... but could be keen to have a looksee when ya get them in...

saw these on that website ya metioned earlier:

http://www.magandtyredirect.com/wheeldetail.php?rc=1156

them ones look aight... so hard to tell from just 1 crappy photo though eh.
[quote]
haha your right, that is a shitty photo, I have got a set in stock of the ones if you want to look at them in person.
Just give me a days notice if your free sometime and you can come round and have a gander.
