Gold or Silver??

Never wear both at the same time! Unless it is on the same piece of jewellery. I have worn silver all my life until my 21st, then I decided it was a good opportunity to get gold presents! (hehe) So now I wear gold.

I used to work at Pascoes when I was 16 so got heaps of gold then (really cheap). My tastes in jewellery have change over the years and I have lost most of it. DOH!!

Silver for any type of chain on a guy, gold rings are nice. Some gold watches are worthy to be worn, but only really suits a guy who has a good tan.

I don't really like gold on myself, on other people, or just the whole, "if its not gold, its not good enough" argument.

I prefer wearing silver and buying my ladies silver. I have never had one of my girls say "I wanted gold, not silver" and I wouldn't expect them to hang around much longer after saying that anyway.

Further, if I gave a girl a ring worth $2k and she said she didn't like it "it has to be bigger and more expensive", then she would still get the $2k ring, but she would have to surgicall removed from so far up her arse that she couldn't never sit down for a year.

why not wear electrum .. an alloy of gold and silver. Very uncommon and has a real strange luster.

Even for a wedding ring I would choose white gold or of course platinum!

I don't own any jewellery. Never even had my ears pierced. I've had men give me jewellery that I have just given away. Don't see the attraction in it really. I'll be the first (and possibly only) to admit it.

Me too Caz. Gold ring. Silver Earings etc. But.. you know.. I'm a guy. The very fact I can dress myself in matching socks is considered an outstanding achievement... actually.. somedays I just were two socks that are 'similar'...

It's just a rule for myself (the don't wear silver AND gold thing) Dunno why?!? Just me - have heaps of them, like my toenails are ALWAYS painted. To me it's a crime for them not to be!

if ur going to get into gold u might aswell get quality. plain gold rings with no stones are a no no! they may be gold but they're not worth much value wise.

ppl think just because something is gold it's worth a lot of money. that's not true. if ur a silver person and thinking of crossing over to the other side then spend large amounts on each piece. cause that way u never have to upgrade =)

i like platinum. but on a whole prefer silver over gold unless we are talking about white gold. i dont think i look very good in gold because of my colouring.
