I have some highwaisted jeans and they're not skinny leg and they look good and they are really comfortable. That picture is a REVOLTING example of them and her shoes are revolting and don't suit the jeans.

im just interested in people reaction to them. and im interested to see if they grow in popularity over here. very popular in europe at the moment. plus i think whilest we (nz) are relating more to fashion in general i still feel we cling to certain dress styles for too long.

I think that the high waist is the big feature of it. If you didn't tuck in the top then they would just be normal skinnys.

I think it depends on the look for these jeans anyway - I am tempted to try a pair - I am little miss straight with no hips to speak of - this style might at least fake a pair of hips for me and give me a little shape, much like the high-waisted skirts do.

And it's not like you can't cover the highwaistedness with a top

it really depends. i suppose it can look good but it sounds like a pretty "slutty" look. but if it doesnt look tacky then yeah that can look really nice.

high waisted jeans but the have stitching and buttons to make it look like a waist coat coming down, so theres something to cut your bum in half lengthwise but you still look long and elegant.. haha if anyone has an idea what i'm talking about, im amazed
