Ghost MSN?

So Im not logged onto to MSN, yet the other night someone was able to contact/PM me. How is this happening

Haven't you been able to write offline contacts messages for about 5 years on MSN?

Duno about 5 years, but a long time yes.

Windows messenger (not MSN but similar) was most likely running as a service. Its a security risk for your computer, so easiest just to go:

Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup > More Options > Programs & Features > Disable Windows Messenger

I think thats its, windows messenger rings a bell (I was v drunk when returning home that night) Will try fix tonight cheerrs SB

I've had a crap load of these types of messages from friends lately with links in to websites , most likely to spyware or even trojans do I click on them hell no !!

I kept getting one from sexrox and advised her, thing is in her msn chat window and history she couldn't see the links / message sent to myself unless I cut and pasted it back to her .

I suspect malware etc, although your case sounds slightly diff .
